Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers Edwardian style rooms with a view over the town, although the sash windows could be better. The service was exceptional, from the manager down to all staff members. The dining experience includes Japanese dishes but could improve. Overall, a good value for money choice.
The hotel is in a lovely, quiet area close to Barnstable town centre, with clean and comfortable rooms and very friendly staff. However, the dining experience could be improved with more variety. The location by the River Taw offers a great setting for running or cycling. Overall, good value for money.
The hotel offers spacious rooms with a view over the town, ideal for those looking for a king-size bed. The ventilation could be improved, but overall a comfortable stay. The service, starting from the manager down to all staff, was excellent and very helpful, offering top-notch room service, dry cleaning, and housekeeping. The location near the town center with easy parking is convenient but the dining experience in the restaurant might not meet high culinary expectations. Despite some drawbacks, my stay was pleasant and worth the value.
